The dryer vent system you have will determine the best procedure required to remove lint and debris. Usually air pressure is used, pushing toward the exterior while numerous different brushes and rod assemblies are used from the exterior inward. The brush is intended to loosen the lint and dryer fluff from the interior of the venting system, and the air blows it to the exterior. This method of dryer vent cleaning is good for all systems constructed of ridged pipe.
In cases where lightweight aluminum or vinyl tubing was used, SBCP recommends and has the ability to install new proper dryer venting systems. The upgraded systems have a smooth walled interior for efficient flow, which results in faster drying times, less costs and less potential for debris buildup that can lead to dryer vent fires.
